The Genesis: Born in Saharanpur

FriendsBook began not in a Silicon Valley boardroom, but in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Architected by software engineer Akshat Sharma, the project was born out of frustration with mainstream social networks: endless algorithmic feeds that suppress friends in favor of viral outrage, predatory data brokerage, and bloated interfaces.

The objective was straightforward yet uncompromising: build a high-performance, respectful social network from India for the world. Future optional monetization will focus on transparent creator tipping and premium storage, never on selling user profiles.

We employ automated rate-limiting to block spam bots, combined with clear reporting workflows. Reports filed by users are reviewed by dedicated moderation channels against our Community Guidelines. Accounts violating rules regarding harassment, illegal content, or hate speech face rapid suspension with a transparent human appeal process.

User credentials and passwords are encrypted using one-way cryptographic hashes (Argon2/bcrypt). Communications are transmitted over strict TLS 1.3 encryption.
